First, get a good feel of the board and work on your balance until you feel comfortable enough.
1. Put your feet in the ollie position while riding at a moderate speed
2. lean back just enough to let the front two wheels go off of the ground
3. bend your knees and, depending on how the board is balancing out, push on the board with your knees bent
4. as soon as you feel like the board is out of control, push your front foot down the whole way until you have reached the ground
5. Feel happy that you have just completed a manual
